The new media technologies offer many new possibilities for presenting, storing and sharing content, and one of them is digital video. Many schools in Ireland now provide tablets for both teachers and students, and this is a great opportunity to use video as a learning resource. In this workshop we will explore the benefits of using video to help teachers engage students with their subject.

- Understand the many ways in which digital video can be used to promote learning in the classroom;
- Engage their students in video projects that foster collaboration, critical analysis and creativity;
- Plan, design and create a digital video using the elements discussed during the workshop.
