Young people are constantly searching, interpreting and using information they find online. This raises concerns over the integrity of the sources they access and the quality of information they consume. Educators around the world have recently placed information literacy as one of their top priorities in the classroom, and this workshop will provide students with the basic skills and knowledge they need to access, evaluate and use information appropriately.

- Understand the difference between information and knowledge, and between facts and interpretation;
- Analyse different sources of information and learn how to avoid the ones that contain heavily biased, inaccurate or false information;
- Apply basic skills to evaluate, synthesise and use information.
