Young people are constantly bombarded with advertisements coming in various formats from different sources. Some ads are very clear and straightforward, but others sometimes are ‘disguised’ as editorials or journalistic articles. In this workshop we will explore the main advertising techniques used buy companies to sell their products/services and learn how to create a TV Ad.

Students will be able to:

  • Analyse different ads and understand how the meanings are created and communicated in the message;
  • Understand the many elements involved in the creation of an ad, such as the target audience and the advertising techniques;
  • Plan, design and create a TV Ad using the elements learned during the workshop.
